Job summary

Towne U.S. LLC is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a 13-week assignment in Lumberton, North Carolina.

You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality therapy services focused on mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited PTA program with an active PTA license in the state of assignment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active PTA license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, strengthening exercises, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, endurance, balance, and functional independence.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, fall prevention, and safety strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Participate in care planning and assist with discharge planning as appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional therapy environment.
• Adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, documentation systems, and patient populations.
