Job description

Role: Travel Physical Therapist responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing plans of care for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee supervision of PTAs and support staff, bill within facility guidelines, ensure compliance with state PT board regulations, collaborate with medical personnel, evaluate and modify care plans based on patient needs, utilize medical record systems, and provide accurate documentation.

• Evaluate patient conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Adjust care plans as needed based on patient progress.
• Interface with healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
• Understand and operate adaptive equipment.
• Supervise support staff and bill for services following guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with licensing and certification requirements, including BLS and state-specific licenses.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and possess strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 months of experience (new grads encouraged), BLS certification, and valid state licensure. Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment.
