Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Sterling, Virginia. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute a plan of care in an acute care setting, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

The position requires 1 year of experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates), BLS certification, and Virginia licensure eligibility. Start date is 10/19/2026, with 40 hours/week and day shifts.

Qualifications

• Licensed PT in Virginia or eligible for licensure.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of clinical PT experience; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
• Ability to evaluate and plan care in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with physicians to coordinate care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and apply in patient plans.
• Evaluate, plan, and modify plans of care as patient status changes.
• Use hospital computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely, accurate documentation per state/insurer rules.
