Job Details

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled Physical Therapist for a 12‑week travel assignment in Caldwell, Texas. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. The PT will work in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, create evidence‑based treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in physical therapy
  • Experience in physical therapy (new graduates welcome)
  • Additional certifications or licenses as required for the position
Summary

The PT evaluates patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Personalized rehabilitation programs are developed and implemented using exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. The PT documents progress, collaborates with healthcare providers, educates patients and caregivers, and maintains a safe treatment environment.

Essential Work Functions
  • Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using tests, examinations, and history
  • Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and goals
  • Implement treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain
  • Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance
  • Assess progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals to coordinate care
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities
  • Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued progress
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • English language reading, writing, and comprehension; ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Proficiency in PC skills
Physical and Technical Abilities
  • Maintain stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Perform fine manipulation and assist with procedures or departmental equipment
  • Cope with frequent contact with the public and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Work under close supervision as well as independently; handle irregular schedules
  • Maintain visual acuity and effective communication
