Travel Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Facility in Bristol, Pennsylvania for a 13‑week travel assignment
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to provide high‑quality patient care in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy
- Experience in physical therapy; new grads welcome
- Any additional certifications or licenses as appropriate
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain
- Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, maintaining proper calibration
- Assess progress, adjust plans, and document interventions accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise plans, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management
- Maintain a safe treatment environment, adhering to infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities
- Assist in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings
Essential Skills & Abilities
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication
- Reading, writing, and speaking English fluently; ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Proficiency with PC skills
- Physical: ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend; reasonable physical stamina
- Interpersonal: work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude, professionalism
- Technical/Motor: fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures and equipment
- Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work independently as needed, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration on details
- Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication skills
