Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The position is outpatient-based with occasional inpatient needs, and involves a 13-week term at 20 hours per week (2x10 hours) and 10-hour shifts.

Start date is 11/23/2026, with no on-call requirements and responsibilities including patient evaluation, treatment planning, and mobility restoration. EMR systems used include ReDoc/NetHealth and MedHost.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required.
• Inpatient and outpatient experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Current NM state licensure required; license required if applicable.
• Fingerprinting required for all NM travelers.
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Patient evaluation and treatment planning.
• Implementing techniques to restore mobility and reduce pain.
• Outpatient clinic duties with occasional hospital coverage.
