American Traveler is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapist for a travel job in Valdez, Alaska. The position features outpatient duties in a hospital system serving acute care, LTC/SNF, and outpatient populations, with 40 hours per week and a 26-week assignment.

Start date is November 9, 2026, with dayshift options and 4x10 hour or 5x8 hour schedules. A minimum of 1 year PT experience and BLS are required; Epic EMR proficiency is expected. Housing is provided for the assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in outpatient, acute care, and LTC/SNF settings required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience treating orthopedic conditions including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgery, and total hip/knee replacement
• Experience treating neurologic conditions including cognitive disorders, MS, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehab, spinal cord injury, and TBI
• Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, body mechanics training, and development of individualized treatment plans
• Not open to first-time travelers
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff at this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must meet the distance requirement
• Time off requests are approved on an individual basis upon offer
• Housing is provided by the facility for the duration of the assignment

• Outpatient PT role within a department serving hospital inpatient, swing bed, LTC, and outpatient settings
• Shift options include 5x8 or 4x10 day shifts, with schedule choice left to the traveler
• 13 or 26 week assignment length, traveler's choice
• Open to accommodating a block schedule
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside of the assigned unit
