Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Lincoln, Illinois. The role requires 1 year of experience, with 6 months accepted for exceptional candidates; the position runs for 13 weeks, at 40 hours per week, on 10-hour day shifts.

The PT will supervise PTAs, ensure documentation and billing compliance, and collaborate with physicians to deliver a team-based plan of care, utilizing adaptive equipment and hospital systems.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Lincoln, IL. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
