Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The role requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy or a PT degree with NPTE, and active state licensure or progress toward licensure, plus CPR certification.

The position offers 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts, and travel benefits including housing options and weekly pay. Start date is 11/23/2026 with 13 weeks duration.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy OR a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and have passed the NPTE
• Must have graduated from an accredited school.
• Minimum one year's experience
• Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist / PT or in process for licensure
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and provide direct patient care.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals based on patient capacity and tolerance under physician direction.
• Set realistic goals, document patient conditions, and educate patients and families in physical therapy methods.
• Develop a plan of care for each patient and provide skilled PT services per physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, adapt and modify care to achieve therapy goals.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
