Qualifications

• Willingness to supervise PTAs and therapy aides as allowed by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ mobility, balance, strength, gait, and functional limitations.
• Develop and implement person-centered treatment plans to restore or improve function and reduce pain.
• Provide direct therapy interventions: therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance retraining, modalities as ordered.
• Monitor progress, adjust care plans, and document sessions for timely billing.
• Supervise PTAs and therapy aides per licensure requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings and discharge planning; educate residents/families on home programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of residents’ mobility, balance, strength, gait, and functional limitations.

• Deliver direct therapy interventions including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance retraining, and the use of modalities as ordered.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust care plans; document treatment sessions, progress notes, and assist with timely billing.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and therapy aides in accordance with licensure requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care team meetings and contribute to discharge planning; educate residents and families on home exercise programs and safety.
