Job Details

• Position Description: PTAs implement components of patient care, obtain data related to the treatments provided, and collaborate with the physical therapist to modify care as necessary. PTAs assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to people at the end of life. Responsibilities include helping patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups, reading instructions from the physical therapist, working directly with the physical therapist to assist patients, speaking with families to find best at-home techniques, keeping physical therapy areas clean and organized, moving patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area, completing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing paperwork, and teaching patients techniques like balance training.

• Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS; Education: Licensed PTA; Location: Missouri; Experience: 0 years; Additional requirements: 1 year of PT experience, LTC or Rehab experience, PTA license.

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
