Job summary

Therapy Management Corporation (TMC) is seeking a Traveling Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver patient-centered care to adults and geriatric patients across multiple locations. You will work under a Physical Therapist to enhance mobility, safety, and independence during travel assignments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth while experiencing new communities and clinical autonomy.

Qualifications

  • Licensed PTA in the state of practice.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Interest or experience in skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation.
  • Passion for patient-centered care and improving quality of life for older adults.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple TMC locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy under the direction of a Physical Therapist to improve mobility, strength, balance and independence.
  • Implement patient-centered treatment plans to support recovery, safety and long-term goals.
  • Deliver hands-on interventions to enhance movement and quality of life for adults and elders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and nursing staff to support outcomes.
  • Integrate with teams across multiple locations to drive meaningful patient results.
  • Track progress, maintain clinical documentation, and adjust plans as needed.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide personalized physical therapy under the direction of a Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance and functional independence

  • Deliver hands-on therapy interventions that enhance movement, endurance and overall quality of life for adult and geriatric patients
  • Partner with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and nursing staff to support strong patient outcomes and continuity of care
  • Quickly integrate with interdisciplinary teams, caregivers, and nursing staff to drive meaningful patient outcomes throughout your assignment
  • Track patient progress, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and adapt treatment plans based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals
