Job summary

Centra Healthcare Allied seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in Castro Valley, California. The contract is 12 weeks, 40 hours per week, dayshift, outpatient setting.

The PTA will provide skilled services under supervision of a licensed PT, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patient goals in a travel role. Start ASAP; licensure and CPR required.

Qualifications

• Must have earned an Associate's degree from an accredited school.
• Current state licensure as a PTA or actively pursuing licensure.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in outpatient settings preferred for PT/PTA roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled Physical Therapy Assistant services under the supervision of a registered PT.
• Implement and adjust the patient’s treatment plan per physician orders.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to meet patients’ goals.
• Perform duties in outpatient settings during a travel assignment.

Requirements include:

• Must have earned an Associates degree from an accredited school.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant / Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA.
• Current CPR certification.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders and under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT.
• Implement and modify the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Physical Therapist / PT .
• Effectively collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to meet patients goals.
