Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Physical Therapy Assistant for a Skilled Nursing Facility assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This travel PTA role supports clinical teams and delivers patient-centered therapy in an SNF setting.

The 13-week assignment offers 40 hours per week with day shifts. Candidates must complete an accredited PTA program, pass the NPTE, obtain NM PTA licensure, and preferably hold BLS certification. Travel benefits and relocation assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited PTA program.
• Completion of National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
• NM PTA licensure/certification.
• First Aid Certification (BLS) strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing personalized treatment plans developed by physical therapists
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve patient function and mobility
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist
• Educate patients and families on exercise techniques and safety measures
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient sessions and progress
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
• Support discharge planning and facilitate continuity of care as needed
