Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in San Andreas, California. The PT will evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting, while supervising staff and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Requirements include 6 months of experience (new grads considered), BLS and state licensing. 40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts. Travel pay package and benefits are provided by TotalMed Allied.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean or stoop as needed.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the setting, following facility guidelines.
• Follow state PT board rules and regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center staff and physicians for a team-based plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as patient condition changes.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state/insurance guidelines.
