Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Tucson, AZ. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute plans of care, and collaborate with medical staff in an acute care setting. Experience of 6 months is encouraged, with 1 year preferred, and BLS plus state licensing required.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, documentation, and compliance with regulations. The role offers 40 hours per week, days shift, with a tax-free stipends consideration.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and bend, lean or stoop.
• PTs must have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, 1 Year; additional certifications may be required before starting an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the respective setting following guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as indicated by patient condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in daily tasks.
• Provide timely documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
