American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care assignment in West Virginia. Requires 2+ years of PT experience and BLS certification. Epic EMR experience preferred. License where applicable; false nails not permitted. Background checks must be disclosed at consideration.

The role involves evaluating and treating patients in an acute care hospital, with three 12-hour shifts (7am–8:30pm) and about 36 hours per week. Travel and housing allowances are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• False nails not permitted.
• Any background check findings must be disclosed at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting at a Level 2 trauma facility.
• Physical Therapy unit.
• Average of 10 patient visits per day per therapist.
• Uses Epic for documentation.
• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Shift schedule includes three 12-hour days ranging from 7am to 8:30pm.
• Main responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients within an acute care hospital setting.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for travel assignment.
• Local candidates not accepted.
• Former WVU Medicine travelers must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying.
• Travelers may not work within WVU Medicine facilities for longer than a year without taking a 2-year break.
• All candidates interview directly with the unit manager.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
