Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Anchorage, AK seeks a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment. The role is 36 hours per week with 9-hour shifts, starting immediately.

The PT will evaluate and develop a plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care, supervise PTAs, and bill under guidelines, while documenting per state and insurance regulations. BLS and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.
