Job summary

TotalMed Allied invites a Travel Physical Therapist to join our acute care team in Sonora, CA for a 13-week assignment. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and implement a plan of care, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

6 months of experience preferred; new grads considered with appropriate background; BLS and license required. The role offers 8-hour shifts, days, and a tax-free stipend; compensation details vary by assignment.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend/lean or stoop, and have knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting.
• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff; bill within the setting according to guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and modify plans of care as patient condition changes.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Sonora, CA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements
