Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Gearhart, Oregon, seeks a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment. The PT will evaluate and treat patients in the acute care setting, working 40 hours per week on day shifts.

This travel role offers an immediate opening and requires the ability to coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates) and hold current BLS and state licensure.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical PT experience; new grads considered
• BLS certification and state licensure required
• Ability to stand, walk long periods and bend/stoop
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Responsibilities

• Oversee PTAs and therapy staff
• Bill within the setting per facility guidelines
• Comply with PT board rules and state regulations
• Interface with Medical Center staff to ensure plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment and evaluate/create plan of care
• Modify plan of care as patient condition changes
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks
• Document timely and accurate notes following state/insurance guidelines

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Gearhart, OR. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
