Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Las Vegas, WA. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute plans of care in the acute care setting, and supervise PTAs and staff. Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.

This travel role includes 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend to be determined. Candidates must hold BLS and state licensing, with flexibility for new grads.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required; exceptional candidates with relevant background may be considered with 6 months experience.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and perform bending/stooping as needed.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as patient condition changes.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Las Vegas, WA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
