Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Springfield, Massachusetts. The PT will supervise PTAs and therapy staff, bill per facility guidelines, and coordinate with medical center personnel to implement a team-based plan of care.

Required are 6 months of PT experience (new grads welcome), BLS, and state licensure. The schedule consists of 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, for 13 weeks, with a possible tax-free stipend as part of the pay package.

Responsibilities

• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility.

• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition.
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Springfield, MA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)

Requirements

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
