Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Muncie, Indiana, working 40 hours per week with daytime shifts. You will perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct physical therapy services under physician orders.

The role requires either a Doctorate or a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy with NPTE, current state licensure, and CPR certification. Additional requirements will be determined by the client facility.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy with NPTE completed.
• Minimum one year of PT experience; current state license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients and provide direct PT care.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with goals determined by patient capacity.
• Set realistic goals, document patient condition, and educate patients and families in PT methods.
• Develops a plan of care for each physical therapy patient.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services per physician orders.
• Assess needs, plan, evaluate and modify care to meet goals of PT interventions.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.

Duties Responsibilities

• The Physical Therapist / PT is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes; providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Also, the Physical Therapist / PT will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• As well, the Physical Therapist / PT must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patient's condition, and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Develops a plan of care for each physical therapy patient.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assesses patient needs, plans for, evaluates and modifies care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
