Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an immediate travel opening in Toledo, IA. The right PT will evaluate patients, develop, and execute a plan of care for diverse populations in the acute care setting.

The selected candidate should have 6 months of PT experience (1 year preferred), BLS, and active state license. Assignment runs 13 weeks at 40 hours per week with a tax-free stipend and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop a plan of care for various populations in the acute care setting.
• Oversee PTAs and support staff; bill within setting guidelines.

• Use EMR and state guidelines for documentation and coding.
• Assess adaptive equipment needs and modify plans as patient condition changes.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Toledo, IA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelinesRequirementsMust have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Pay package

TotalMed Allied Job ID #1484780. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
