Job summary

TNAA TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Physical Therapist for a Northport, AL assignment. The PT will supervise PTAs, coordinate with physicians, and develop plans of care for a 13-week engagement with 40 hours/week.

Required are 1 year of PT experience (6 months possible for exceptional candidates), BLS, and state licensure. Travel assignments include weekly pay, benefits, and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand/walk long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Northport, AL. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
