Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Pensacola, FL is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates), 40 hours per week, days shift, and a focus on evaluation and plan of care in the acute care setting.

You will supervise PTAs and staff, bill within the facility, ensure regulatory compliance, and document using hospital systems.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of PT experience; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
• BLS and ABPTS certification, and state license are required.
• Travel assignment in Pensacola, FL with 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill for services in the facility following local guidelines.
• Coordinate with Medical Center staff and physicians for plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as patient conditions change.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Pensacola, FL. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Requirements*:

• BLS, ABPTS, 2 Years*
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
