Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in the United States. The position requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with NPTE, with a current state license or licensure in progress and CPR certification.

The assignment runs for 13 weeks and entails 40 hours per week with an 8-hour shift. Candidate should have at least one year of PT experience and be prepared to work in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy with NPTE completed.
• Minimum one year of experience as a PT.
• Current state PT license or in process for licensure in the state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation and provide direct patient care.
• Establish and administer a treatment program per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families and document patient condition.
• Develop a plan of care and provide skilled PT services.
• Collaborate with disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals.

Duties Responsibilities

• The Physical Therapist / PT is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes; providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Also, the Physical Therapist / PT will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• As well, the Physical Therapist / PT must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patient's condition, and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Develops a plan of care for each physical therapy patient.
• Provides skilled physical therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assesses patient needs, plans for, evaluates and modifies care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient.
