Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Fort Myers, FL. The PT will evaluate and implement plans of care for acute care patients, working in a dynamic team and coordinating with medical staff.

The role is 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, days shift, with travel compensation and benefits. New grads may apply with BLS and state licensing in place; 8-hour shifts and a tax-free stipend are noted.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of PT experience; new grads encouraged.
• BLS certification and state-specific physical therapy license required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Fort Myers, Florida.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Fort Myers, FL. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
