Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for an immediate opening in St. Simons Island, GA. The PT will evaluate patients in the acute care setting, develop a plan of care, and implement it across a variety of populations, coordinating with the medical center team.

Requirements include 6 months experience (1 year preferred), BLS, and state licensing. Travel position offers 32 hours weekly for 13 weeks with a tax-free stipend and weekly pay benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS certification and state-specific licensing.
• 1 year of PT experience preferred; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Interface with physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care and modify it as needed.
• Utilize the Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in St. Simons Island, Georgia.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in St. Simons Island, GA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• BLS, 1 Year* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Compensation

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 32.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
