Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Travel Physical Therapist for an assignment in Raytown, Missouri. The 13-week, 40-hour per week travel position shifts are 8 hours in days, with immediate start for a PT who has at least 1 year of experience and current BLS and state licensure.

Responsibilities include evaluating and planning care, supervising PTAs, documenting in medical records, and collaborating with facility staff to ensure a team-based plan of care for diverse patient populations in acute care

Qualifications

• 1 year of physical therapy experience required; 6 months accepted for exceptional candidates.
• BLS certification and state licensure required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy staff.

• Communicate with physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Raytown, Missouri.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Raytown, MO. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Requirements*:

BLS, 1 Year* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing. Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
