Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Portola Valley, CA. The role requires 6 months of PT experience, or 6 months for exceptional candidates, plus BLS and state licensing. The position runs for 13 weeks, with 35 hours per week and a tax-free stipend to be determined.

The PT will supervise staff, manage documentation, and coordinate with medical staff to plan and adjust patient care. On-site duties include charting, billing, and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of PT experience; new grads encouraged to apply.
• BLS certification and state-specific licensing required.
• BLS and 1 year experience; additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines.
• Comply with state PT board rules and regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center staff and physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as patient condition dictates.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state/insurance guidelines.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean or stoop as needed.
• Maintain sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
