Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The PT will evaluate patients, develop and execute plans of care in an acute care setting, coordinating with physicians and staff to ensure effective treatment.

Requirements include 1 year of experience (6 months acceptable for exceptional candidates) and current BLS plus state licensing. Expect 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with day shifts and travel employment status.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.
• PTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facilityUnderstand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective stateInterface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of careUnderstand adaptive equipmentEvaluate and create a plan of careModify plan of care as indicated based on patient's conditionUse Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasksProvide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelinesRequirements

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
