Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 14-week travel assignment in Lexington, KY. The PT will work 40 hours per week on day shifts, collaborating with therapists and physicians to implement a patient-centered plan of care.

Candidates should have one year of experience (six months may be considered for exceptional backgrounds) and must hold BLS certification plus state-specific licensure. New grads are encouraged to apply and will be considered for appropriate assignments.

• 1 year of clinical PT experience required; exceptional candidates with 6 months considered.
• Must hold BLS and state-specific licensure.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and follow PT board regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and therapy technicians.

• Interface with medical center staff and physicians to implement plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as patient condition changes.
• Use facility computer systems for daily tasks and documentation.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Lexington, KY. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
