Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Murfreesboro, TN. Duration is 13 weeks at 40 hours per week with a tax-free stipend. Immediate opening; must have 6 months experience (1 year preferred); new grads considered with appropriate background.

The PT will supervise PTAs, bill per guidelines, coordinate with Medical Center staff, and develop/modify patient plans of care while using facility systems and complying with state regulations.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience minimum; 1 year preferred; new grads may apply.
• BLS certification and state PT license required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; bend/stoop as needed.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff.
• Bill within the setting following facility guidelines.
• Adhere to state PT board rules and regulations.
• Interface with Medical Center staff and physicians for plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and evaluate/create plan of care.
• Modify plan of care as patient condition changes.
• Use Medical Center computer systems daily.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per guidelines.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Murfressboro, TN. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Requirements*: BLS, 1 Year* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
