Job Summary

Physical Therapist Inpatient (Specialty: PT IP) in a hospital setting. This position involves evaluating and treating patients in various units including emergency department, orthopedic/spine unit, rehabilitation, telemetry, and medical-surgical unit. The role requires delivering care to adult and geriatric patient populations on a day shift schedule.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Kansas or Compact Physical Therapist (PT) license, BLS certification, minimum 0 years of experience, and at least 1 year of professional experience in a hospital environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system and community hospital settings.
• Float: Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on each unit.
• Additional Information:
  • Responsible for evaluating and treating patients in emergency department, orthopedic/spine unit, rehabilitation, telemetry, and medical-surgical units.
  • Duties include patient assessment, gait training, discharge planning, pain management, patient education, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
  • Must evaluate and treat patients with conditions such as hip fractures, total joint replacements, neurological disorders, lower extremity amputations, and post-spinal surgery recovery.
  • Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and transportation.
  • Valid license requirements in place prior to assignment.
  • Assignment start date: 10/07/2026; end date: 01/06/2027.
