Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Physical Therapist for an assignment in Atlantic City, NJ. The PT will evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for various patient populations in an acute care setting, and oversee PTAs and support staff.

Requirements include 1 year of PT experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional cases), BLS and state licensing. The role runs 13 weeks at 30 hours per week with 10-hour shifts, days, and a tax-free stipend to be determined.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care PT experience preferred; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• BLS certification and state-specific PT license required.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; capable of bending, leaning, or stooping.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff; bill within the setting and follow facility guidelines.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-based plan of care.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care; modify as indicated by patient condition.
• Use hospital systems to document and ensure timely, accurate records according to state/insurance rules.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Atlantic City, NJ. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians). Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility. Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state. Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care. Understand adaptive equipment. Evaluate and create a plan of care. Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition. Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing. Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
