Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Norwood, New Jersey. This role requires a PT with at least 6 months of travel or acute care experience, BLS, and NJ licensure.

The PT will manage evaluation, plan of care, and coordination with the medical team in an acute care setting. 30 hours per week on 10-hour days, with the opportunity to continue post-assignment based on need and performance.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in NJ (or pending)
• BLS certification present
• 1 year PT experience preferred; 6 months may be considered for exceptional cases

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient conditions and develop a plan of care
• Oversee PTAs and therapy staff
• Bill within setting according to facility guidelines
• Ensure compliance with PT board rules and state regulations
• Interface with medical center staff and physicians to coordinate care
• Document accurately following state/insurance guidelines
• Maintain knowledge of adaptive equipment and plan-of-care modifications

We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Norwood, NJ. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

As a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.

Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
