Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Physical Therapist for a travel assignment in Oakland, California. This 13-week engagement offers 30 hours per week, with an 8-hour shift schedule and immediate start.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of experience; 1 year preferred. BLS and state licensure required. New grads are welcome to apply.

You will evaluate, develop, and execute plans of care for varied patient populations in acute care, collaborating with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working as a Physical Therapist in acute care preferred; 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must hold state-specific Physical Therapist licensure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervising PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting following facility guidelines.
• Understand and apply the PT board's rules and regulations for the state.
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians for a team-based plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment and its use with patients.
• Evaluate and create a plan of care and modify as needed.
• Use Medical Center computer systems for daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation per state and/or insurance guidelines.

TravelWe are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for an immediate travel opening in Oakland, CA. The right PT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.As a PT, you will be responsible for the evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

TasksAs a PT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Oversee supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians)
• Bill within the respective setting, following guidelines within settings for facility
• Understand the respective PT board's rules and regulations, complying within respective state
• Interface with Medical Center personnel and physicians to ensure team-focused plan of care
• Understand adaptive equipment
• Evaluate and create a plan of care
• Modify plan of care as indicated based on patient's condition
• Use Medical Center computer systems in performance of daily tasks
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines

RequirementsMust have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and state-specific licensing.Physical Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. PTs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
