Job summary
TactStaff is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician for a travel assignment in a high-volume hospital setting in Florida. The role requires experience with sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous drug compounding, including neonatal and pediatric IV preparation, and the ability to rotate to 12-hour shifts.
The ideal candidate will hold a Florida Pharmacy Technician license, be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), and have at least two years of experience with neonatal/pediatric IV preparation.
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician license.
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience with neonatal/pediatric IV prep.
- CPhT credential required.
- Experience in sterile and hazardous drug compounding.
- Ability to rotate 12-hour shifts including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds for neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Perform hazardous drug compounding following safety protocols.
- Use Pyxis MedStation and DoseEdge to dispense medications accurately.
- Follow unit-specific policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Document thoroughly in Meditech and pharmacy systems.
- Support transition to 12-hour shift schedules and ensure coverage.
