Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Refill Pyxis machines and fill first doses.
• Perform IV sterile and non-sterile compounding as required.
• Package UD medications and assist pharmacists on the unit.
• Answer phones and support pharmacy operations; refill code blue trays.

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : De-centralized pharmacist model, have 5 technicians on day shift, 1 mid shift, 2 evening shifts and 2 overnight shifts.

· Type of equipment : Pyxis ES, Dose Edge

· Documentation system: Meditech

· Scheduling requirements: will work days/evenings and weekends

Must have : current/active MO license in good standing

Advanced skills optional: Knowledge of Pyxis ES, Meditech, Dose Edge

Procedures performed on unit: refilling pyxis machines, filling first doses, IV sterile compounding, non-sterile compounding, packaging UD medications, answering phones, assisting pharmacist, refilling code blue trays,
