Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Travel Pharmacist to join the inpatient and emergency room pharmacy team in Peridot, AZ. This role is essential in providing pharmaceutical care and support within a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to inpatients and emergency room patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication management.
- Adhere to pharmacy policies and unit protocols, including documenting patients’ medication histories and evaluations.
- Participate in staff education and patient counseling as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution; PharmD preferred, including one year of residency.
- Minimum of five years of professional pharmacy experience.
- Current and valid state pharmacy license; Arizona state license preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required; PALS can be obtained on-site within the first month of hire.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Unit Policies:
- Clock In/Out: All staff must clock in/out on Kronos; no overtime without prior approval.
- Lunch Breaks: Required as per policy.
- Overtime: Pre-approval signature from the manager is required.
- Cell Phone Use: Not permitted during working hours.
- Reporting: All injuries, COVID-19 concerns, and sick calls must be reported to a manager or supervisor immediately.
- Call-In Policy: Staff must provide a minimum of 2 hours’ notice when unable to work.
- Missed Shift: No missed shifts allowed.
- Cancellation Policy: The client may cancel one shift every two weeks.
- Block Scheduling: Not applicable; Monday-Friday shifts only.
