TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Urbana, Illinois. The role is 26 weeks, 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts in the acute care setting.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of experience (6 months may be accepted for exceptional backgrounds) and hold BLS and ASHA-SLP certification with state licensure. Duties include evaluation, plan of care, and family education across diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged.
• BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state licensing.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean or stoop as needed.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Urbana, IL. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
