Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel job in Madera, California. The role is 13 weeks, 40 hours per week, with an 8-hour daytime shift.

Travel employment requires 1 year of experience, with 6 months acceptable for exceptional candidates. The SLP will assess and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in acute care settings, align plans of care, and communicate progress to care teams.

Qualifications

• Requires 6 months of experience; new grads may apply.
• BLS and ASHA SLP national certification with state licensing are required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend/lean without difficulty.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language and swallowing disorders.
• Create individualized treatment plans and therapy protocols.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to families, teachers, or medical professionals as appropriate.
• Provide timely documentation following state and insurance guidelines.
