Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel Pediatric RN for a 13-week assignment in Norfolk, VA. The role requires pediatric RN experience, VA license, BLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications.

Shifts are 12 hours, totaling 36 hours per week, with travel employment and comprehensive benefits. The Pediatric RN delivers age-appropriate care, administers medications, collaborates with families and health teams, and adheres to safety standards while supporting pediatric patients and families throughout

Qualifications

• One year of recent Pediatric RN experience.
• Valid RN license in Virginia and compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification; PALS or ENPC required.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to children and families to foster understanding.
• Administer prescribed medications with pediatric dosing considerations.
• Prepare pediatric equipment and assist physicians during treatments.
• Ensure comfort and safety of pediatric patients.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Record vital signs and monitor patient status, reporting changes.
• Respond to emergencies following hospital policies.
• Collaborate with families to develop care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance pediatric care.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
