Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Pediatric Travel Nurse to cover 32 hours per week in Charlestown, MA on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide pediatric care, support families, and assist physicians during exams. Requires 1–2 years of acute care, BLS and PALS.

Shift is 8 hours, nights; pay is travel package with benefits, and all travel requirements are handled by TotalMed RN.

We're looking for Pediatric RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Charlestown, MA. The right RN should have 1-2 years' recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.

As a Pediatric Travel Nurse, you will provide preventative and acute care to children and adolescents in all settings. Pediatric RNs should have experience and skill caring for patients of all ages and providing support to patients' family members.

As a PED Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
• Help patients to be comfortable with examination and procedures.
• Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
• Assess for critical signs and symptoms in the pediatric and adolescent patient populations.
• Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
• Provide information, education and support to patients' family members.

PED Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Pediatric RNs may face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.
