American Traveler in Boston, MA is seeking a travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to care for critically ill children in the PICU and NICU at a teaching hospital. This assignment features a 3x12 hour rotating schedule, totaling 36 hours per week, with day and night shifts and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS and PALS required
• Minimum 2-3 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Minimum 1 year PICU or Pediatric CVICU experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to critically ill pediatric patients in PICU/NICU
• Manage ventilator equipment including BiPAP/CPAP and oscillating ventilators
• Assist with intubation, extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Administer inhaled nitric oxide and other medications
• Troubleshoot alarms and assist weaning from ventilation
