Job Details

• Role: Respiratory Therapist, Pediatric (RT PEDS) in St. Louis
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist Registered, with no minimum experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include providing intensive respiratory therapy, conducting procedures such as chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, pulmonary function studies, and assisting with bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care.
• Performs arterial puncture, 12-Lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, and functions related to laboratory testing, specimen handling, and maintenance of ventilatory equipment.
• Ensures accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses, communicates with physicians, and maintains equipment.
• Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Assists with emergency procedures such as endotracheal tube placement/removal and equipment self-testing.
• Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures related to laboratory testing and respiratory care.
