Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Pediatric OR RN for a travel assignment in San Francisco, CA. This 16-week, 40-hour-per-week shift covers nights, with 10-hour days, and requires acute care experience.

The ideal candidate holds BLS and PALS and has 1–2 years of OR/acute care experience; travel nurses enjoy weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and benefits through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• Travel RN with OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and positioning of patient.
• Manage care of patient in the OR according to hospital policy.
• Ensure all patient paperwork is completed prior to procedure.
• Watch for signs and symptoms of impaired gas exchange related to anesthesia.
• Remain by the patient's side until anesthesia has been successfully induced.
• Pediatric OR Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• RNs should be able to lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.

We're looking for Pediatric Operating Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in San Francisco, CA. The right RN will have at least 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving and positioning of patient.

• Remain by the patient's side until anesthesia has been successfully induced.
• Pediatric OR Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• RNs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at a time.
• RNs may face hazards from exposure to certain chemicals or infectious diseases in the operating room environment.

Requirements

• BLS, PALS, 2 Years* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
