Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Pediatric Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment in Tacoma, WA. You will provide comprehensive perioperative care, collaborate with the surgical team, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced OR environment.

The ideal candidate has one year of Pediatric OR RN experience, a valid WA RN license, BLS, and PALS or ENPC. Travel benefits include competitive pay, health coverage, PTO, and support from a dedicated clinical team throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• One year's recent experience as a Pediatric Operating Room RN (RN Pediatrics OR)
• Valid RN license in WA
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current PALS or ENPC certifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of changes.
• Manages specimen collection, labeling and transport per protocol.
• Documents patient care in the perioperative setting accurately.
• Participates in handoff communication before and after surgery.
