American Traveler seeks an experienced OR Technician for a pediatric cardiovascular CVOR unit in Chicago. Requires 2+ years CVOR experience and prior travel assignments. BLS/PALS certifications and Illinois license are required, with vaccination in place.

The role involves 10-hour shifts (40 hours/week), Epic EMR, and participation in high acuity pediatric cardiovascular procedures. Local candidates may be paid at traveler rate; RO time off policies apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years CVOR experience.
• Travel assignment experience required; not suitable for first-time travelers.
• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• License required if applicable.
• Current permanent Illinois license required upon consideration (no EO, temp, or pending license accepted).
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 within the last year.
• COVID and flu vaccinations required.

Responsabilités

• Hospital operating room setting within the CVOR unit
• Scrub for high acuity pediatric cardiovascular procedures
• 10-hour day shift schedule, 40 hours per week
• EMR system used is Epic
• Assist with high acuity pediatric cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate as travelers
• Maximum RTO of 10 days, with any time off made up by extending the end of contract
• Returning employees must have a break of at least one year before reapplying
• Returning travelers must have a break of at least 45 days before reapplying
